We got a sudden weekend of absolutely breathtaking weather, so Kate and I jumped at the chance and shot a few different outfits on this 60 degree (!!) day. Bizarre that the day after we shot this it was snowing and today we woke up to six inches of snow blanketing a thick layer of ice. I suppose this is the price you pay for living in a place with seasons!
But on to more important topics: this outfit. Thanks to my obsession with Totokaelo (which deserves its own post), I have been obsessed with Complex Geometries for years. Based out of Montreal, designer Clayton Evans has created a line that is the embodiment of what I want my wardrobe to become: easy basics with a twist. Made of super soft jersey, every item is draped and cut to imbue unconventional shapes with multifarious utility. The awesome thing about this tank top (called the Binder tank), is that it can be worn several different ways. The flaps of fabric can be tied around the neck (as I'm wearing it), draped and left to hang loose or in a cape-like fashion which makes this multi-dimensional top an MVP in my wardrobe. To go along with the ease of the top I paired these awesome, light-weight harem-style pants that are so killer - especially in action. They're actually just two pieces of fabric draped over one another and when you walk, the pieces fly away leaving you with a seriously sexy walk and legs for days. Pair those pieces with black strappy sandals and I'm ready to say goodbye for good to our cold weather.
