I found this bright kelly green dress while out thrifting. It was stuck in with the lingerie, which is a section I never shop, but the color was calling to me and I knew it had found a new home. It was, however, much too long so I hemmed it to tunic length (I might try wearing this as a dress, as long as it isn't a windy day) and knew it needed a metallic just as bright to shine right along with it. Thus, one of my most favorite vintage necklaces. It's so over-the-top with a large smiling sun at the top and gilded stars hanging beautifully from a crescent moon at the bottom! Truth be told this is one of my favorite silhouettes: trapeze on top and slim on the bottom - it somehow (however successfully) always reads chic and breezy to me.
*p.s. I didn't realize until these pictures were taken that one of my buttons was charmingly undone! That's charming, right?
